When you use our contact form, we collect what you enter:

• your name and business name;
• your email address, and your phone number if you give it;
• your website or social page, if you give it;
• what you need, and your message.

If you become a client, we also keep what’s needed to do the work and bill you (contact details, invoices, and the content you send us). Like any website, our host records basic technical data (such as IP address and browser) to keep the site secure; we don’t use it to identify you.

Only to reply to your enquiry, do the website check or project you asked for, and keep a record of our conversation. We ask for your consent on the form, and we don’t use your details for anything else: no marketing list, no selling, no sharing.

This site doesn’t use cookies, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or anyone else’s analytics.

To see how the site is doing, we run our own simple counter. When a page loads, it records a daily total of: which page was viewed, the site that linked to it (for example “google.com”), whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer, and the country (from the network, not your location). We don’t store your IP address or any ID, so these totals can’t be traced back to you. If your browser sends a “do not track” or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted at all.

Your browser also remembers, for the current tab only, that you’ve seen our intro animation and that you’re mid-visit. That stays on your device.

We use a few trusted companies to run the site and deliver email:

• Cloudflare hosts this website, stores our visit totals and our private client list (where your enquiry is saved), and handles our email routing;
• Resend delivers the emails sent from our contact form;
• our email inbox, where enquiries arrive and we reply.

These companies may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We only use them to deliver our service to you.

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as we work together and as long as tax law requires afterwards.

Our site is served over a secure connection (HTTPS), and only Kestrel can see your enquiry. We limit what we collect, keep it only as long as we need it, and protect our accounts carefully. If something ever went wrong with your information, we’d tell you.

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@madebykestrel.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Our website and services are for businesses, not for children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email hello@madebykestrel.com and we’ll delete them.

For websites we build and host for clients, the client is responsible for their own visitors’ information and has their own privacy notice; we handle it only on their behalf, to run their site.
